The Backyard Farms Story

Backyard Farms is a positive outcome of the 2020 Global Covid-19 lockdown. Our founder, Dom, established a social enterprise to empower women in townships by utilizing their unused backyards. We provide compost, fertiliser, chili plants, and training to turn these backyards into thriving chili farms. We use the chili from these farms in our delicious “Backyard Farms” sauce range. As our sauce sales grow, we support more farms, and our farmers earn more by selling the sauces in their communities.
