Born from the 2020 Global Covid-19 lockdown, Backyard Farms is a social enterprise empowering women in townships by using their unused backyards. Through compost, fertiliser, chili plants, and training, we transform these backyards into thriving chili farms. Our delicious “Backyard Farms” sauce range features the same chilies. As sauce sales increase, we support more farms, enabling farmers to earn by selling within their communities.
