These sauces include some of the world’s Scoville scale topping peppers – Carolina Reapers, Ghost Peppers, Trinidad 7 Pot, Naga Morich and more. These sauces are for the absolute chillihead and should be approached with extreme caution.

At the Sauce Shop we encourage you to push yourself to the limit in all aspects in life. So here it goes! – your welcome!

10. Johnny Hexburg Ghost Pepper

At number 10 we have Johnny Hexburg Ghost Pepper. This is a slow burning 9/10 heat sauce made with Ghost Pepper Chillies for maximum burn. The Ghost Pepper aka Bhot Jolokia has a slow burning but intense heat, balanced by the sweetness and acidity of this sauce.

9. Johnny Hexburg Apocalypse Scorpion

A very hot 9/10 sauce made with Apocalypse scorpion peppers (said to rival the California Reaper in heat). This is a fruity sauce with delicious sweetness and umami flavours to balance the heat.

8. Johnny Hexburg Naga Morich

Sweet and sour with a hint of fruitiness, rich in flavor & heat. The Naga Morich, like the ghost pepper is a slower burn. It takes 20 – 30 seconds to start feeling the true heat. Until then, the pepper’s flavor is front and center. It’s sweet, like the Ghost Pepper, but slightly more fruity (almost floral) and a little less earthy.

7. Johnny Hexburg 7 Pot Douglah

A 10/10 heat sauce, the 7 Pot Douglah is an extremely hot pepper from Trinidad. It’s skin is notably dark chocolate brown and somewhat pimpled. It starts off green but matures to a rich brown. It is one of the Hottest Peppers in the World. It has a fruity flavor with a hint of nuttiness & earthy tones. This sauce enlightens almost every sense, slightly sweet, salty, tart, savoury and loads of spice flavors. A flavour experience in your mouth like you have never experienced in a sauce before.

6. Johnny Hexburg Brain Strain

A Carribean style, extra-hot sauce with tart, sweet and spicy flavours. The 7 Pot peppers in this sauce bring the scorching heat with background flavours of smoke and fruit.

5. Carolina Reaper

In terms of taste, this is likely the sweetest super-hot pepper you are going to find. There’s a lot more flavor to the Carolina Reaper than you’ll find in most extremely hot peppers. In fact, the extreme hot sauces made from it are quite tasty if you are used to super-hots. Still, a warning: this is a scorching chilli with 10/10 heat.

4. Rooibaard Kwaadbaard

This sauce packs some serious heat. Pure Cayenne Pepper power, with a burn that keeps building to an inferno in your mouth.

3. Johnny Hexburg Gunslinger

Fresh Carolina Reapers, Moruga Scorpion powder, Ghost Pepper powder… and nothing else. This sauce is extremely hot and should be used in moderation.

2. Johnny Hexburg P Three

A sauce made with Pure Premium Powder. A great earthy, peachy flavor to compliment every meal, from bacon and eggs to spaghetti. The sauce hits your throat, your tongue and your mouth. The heat lingers for quite some time.and a little goes a long way. It might be hard to find hotter than this with all natural ingredients.

*Ahem* Drum Roll please…. the Number 1 hottest sauce in South Africa

1. Johnny Hexburg FUBAR

The hottest sauce we have found (so far) in South Africa. With 18/10 heat, this sauce is made with extract for the absolute heat seeker. We recommend wearing rubber gloves when opening and handling this bottle.

Johnny Hexburg FUBAR (do not underestimated, the bite slowly creep up in your mouth, throat and all over…). We started with the Johnny Hexburg FUBAR made of “California Reaper” (red later on it is between of 1,569,300 and 2,000,000 Scoville heat units). Tasteful, and the bite slowly creeps up to you with one teaspoon full in your mouth and swallowed. You can feel it, as times goes by down your throat and stomach. This one was a 10/10 for 5 of the six, for me close, but I will give it a 9.5 out of ten for the bite. This is also the strongest Sause with a bite I could found in S.A. One guy didn’t continue, but two stop just there and couldn’t continue successfully with bigger chips.

That put behind, the Ghost Pepper 855 000 – 1 041 427 Scoville units went well directly after the Johnny Hexburg FUBAR as well as the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion 2 million Scoville units. I think the Johnny Hexburg FUBAR had some impact on the first two chips. The Carolina Reaper: 2.2 million Scoville units was the strongest of this four and you could feel it in your mouth, throat and stomach, even 30 minutes later. In one case one of the guys told as the next morning that he woke up 24H00 at night with the burning effect still in his stomach.
